Alone for a while I've been searching through the dark, For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart. To weave by picking up the pieces that remain. Melodies of Life-Love's lost refrain. Our paths they did cross, though I cannot say just why, We met, we laughed, we held on fast, and then we said goodbye, And who'll hear the echoes of stories never told? Let them ring out loud till they unfold. In my dearest memories, I see you reaching out to me. Though you're gone, I still believe that you can call out my name.
A voice from the past, joining yours and mine.
Adding the layers of harmony.
And so it goes, on and on. Melodies of life. To the sky beyond the flying birds-forever and beyond. So far and away, see the bird as it flies, Gliding through the shadows of the clouds up in the sky,
I've laid my memories, do you remember loving me? Leave them now and see what tommorow brings. In your dearest memories, do you remember loving me?
A voice from the past, joining yours and mine. Adding the layers of harmony.
And so it goes, on and on. Melodies of life. To the sky beyond the flying birds-forever and beyond.
If should I leave this lonely world behind. Your voice will still remember our melody. Now I know we'll carry on. Melodies of Life. Come circle round and grow deep in out hearts, as long as we remember.

Goodness! I really didn't think it would happen anytime soon but Mike has cut a hole in the wall! *L* I can't complain, it's one step closer to me regaining my beloved broadband connection. *boing* I've REALLY missed my cable modem, especially now since I've been working on a HUGE manga gallery, and uploading 100's of images really bites on a slow connection.

Speaking of this gallery...it's going to be HUGE! I'm really excited, I hope to have it up next week. All I really have left to do is upload more images and do the typical sitey stuff (links page, buttons, etc) Then all I'll have to do is scan four more manga, but with the site open I can do that in my own time.

Oh well, enough jabber, I must get back to work, I am at work to WORK ya know ^_^ Plus it's FRIDAY and I write the paychecks! *money yea!*

Damn I'm in a pissy mood...I really shouldn't even be at work, no one in this mood should be waiting on the public, but here I am. I guess I just get fed up waiting on retards in retail establishments. Pleasing the customer gets to be a stinking pain in the royal ASS. Especially when the customer is an ASS. People are just retarded, I guess I'll leave it at that.

I hope I get home tonight to my husband reconnecting my broadband connection...slow internet pisses me off too.

I know I just posted, but I realized I forgot to comment on something that has really been bugging me lately. It's been driving me crazy that people are SO stinking lazy when it comes to webpage creation. Not only are they too lazy to make something 'viewable' in Netscape, they don't even have the sense to check their spelling.

Now I know the majority out there uses IE, and I swear it's because of the laziness factor. IE COMES with Windows, Netscape has to be downloaded. It's way too much trouble to download something right? Now I understand that a lot of people have both Netscape and IE (I do) and some people just simply prefer one over the other. This I understand completely. And heck, I usually make sure that my webstuff is more viewable in IE simply because more people who visit my site use it, but the site is still VIEWABLE in Netscape. I use Netscape and when I see a page that looks 'slightly' off in it I don't freak out because I know it probably looks fine in IE. But when I come across a page that is BLANK it pisses me off so bad. It's obnoxious and it's ANNOYING. And you know what the problem normally is? People don't proofread and edit their work.

Usually it comes down to forgetting to close ONE tag. If someone would simply READ what they typed they could eliminate that problem. The same goes for spelling errors. Proof your text and fix the misspellings. If you don't know how to spell a word LOOK IT UP! If you can't take the time to look in a dictionary, there's one online. *gasp* It's at DICTIONARY.COM Just thought I'd offer a tip.

And please forgive me for the bitchiness of this post, I just really needed to rave about this ^_^ Now I'm off to post this message and PROOFREAD it for mistakes *L*

gah...I haven't written anything in here in quite awhile. I guess I'm just a lazy bitch, or maybe I haven't had anything better to say *L* Things have been fairly uneventful. Most of my computer time as of late has been devoted to either making the layout for a new page I'm working on, or scanning for said page. Scanning can be such a boring chore, but it really hasn't been too bad this time. I'm off today and I hope to finish up the majority of my scanning. Unfortunately my brother has stayed home 'sick' today, so that could hamper my work since he has the horrific tendency to lay around for the first hour or so that he's been home and then he feels 'better' all of a sudden. It's funny how sickness can go away so fast. Oh well, so much for a peaceful day off alone.

just thought i'd say DARN that's a LONG POST! *ggl*

Wednesday, April 11, 2001  12:54 p.m.

It's weird how the weather changes so rapidly. Monday it was beautiful out. It was still beautiful out when I got home from work, so nice that Mike and I worked on a few of our 'outdoor projects'. Well actually he had started already before I got home, but I helped him finish.

Our front yard has this really nice yard light that automatically turns on when it's dark. The pole of the light had a TON of ivy wrapped around it, and it didn't look 'bad' but it could look better. We decided to chop the old ivy off and remove the roots as best as we could and then replace the ivy with a climbing rose. We bought a beautiful white climber on Sunday and we planted it on Monday evening. We hope to buy another rose, maybe a multicolored one of some sort to climb up the pole as well. I think it will look much better than the ivy.

Yesterday was just as beautiful as Monday, but a bit cooler. I spent most of the day relaxing by reading and watching tv. By later afternoon I went outside and relaxed by messing around in the backyard.

There's something so relaxing in goofing off in your own backyard and watching your silly dogs play. Copper was rolling around in the newly-cut grass scratching her back like she did as a puppy, and Ally was laying around chewing on a stray branch (one of her many yard toys). I walked around soaking in the sunlight and looking at the flowers and trees with their new blooms. I just adore my flowers. I have azalea, camellia, crocus, daffodil, and more that I don't even know what they are. I also noticed my two apple trees have blossomed. The trees were full of bumblebees buzzing through the white blooms.

After messing in the yard I went to the store to get what I needed to make dinner. Michael (the brother) requested burritos. Dinner preparation was even relaxing yesterday. I was able to crank up my stereo, set my cd player on random play and bop around to some old favorites while I cooked. Michael helped me a 'bit' by shredding cheese, otherwise I did all the cooking.

Once dinner was cleaned up I was able to actually mess on the computer a bit. Unfortunately my fun was ended by the evening electrical storm. I can't complain too much though because my husband Mike came home and we were able to end the evening by him whipping my butt in Othello. Even though he's much better than I am, I still had fun. He said we can play Boggle next time, because I always beat him in that ^_^

triple stinking drat! I had a long post composed and the whole computer froze! *ugh* lemme try again....

Saturday, April 7, 2001  04:51 p.m.

bored, bored, DAMN I'm BORED! Luckily I only have an hour of work left to go ^_^ Today hasn't been TOO bad at work, other than the fact that the beautiful weather has been teasing me all day to go out and play in it. I hope it's this nice tomorrow, but I've heard reports of clouds and rain in the forecast.

Actually in about a half-hour I can start counting the money, reconciling the drawer and picking stuff up, because if it gets too slow we can start scooting out of here early. I hope that happens *crosses fingers*

Then I get to go home and do any or all of these things:

1. Cook dinner
2. Clean the house
3. Play on the 'puter *grin*
4. Watch anime *grin*
I'm really not in the mood for 1 or 2, so hopefully I can get away with eating leftovers, cleaning house tomorrow and either 3 & 4 tonight ^_^

man I'm not really lazy am I? *snicker*

Friday, April 6, 2001  01:11 p.m.

holy crapola! It's actually 72 degrees here today! It's so gorgeous! I even got to wear one of my pretty short-sleeved spring dresses today. I wish I was home *pout* today really would be a good day to be digging in the flowerbeds and I could finish up the raking I did under the Magnolia tree.

I really love my Magnolia tree...it's OLD, it's BIG and it's pretty, but it's MESSY! Everytime it's a bit windy or if we get a heavy rain it drops leaves, branches and those big seed pods that are about the size of pinecones. And they go ALL over the yard, and the driveway. I know I'm complaining now, but I'm sure I won't be once it starts blooming and putting off a pretty fragrance ^_^

Today also starts Spring Break for my brother. I wish I still got a break, I'd love to have one from work *L*

Wednesday, April 4, 2001  09:51 a.m.

work=blech! It always stinks coming to work after having a nice productive day off...actually my day was pretty productive yesterday. Usually I'm so lazy on an off-day, I'm lucky if I get out of bed by noon and I'm lucky if I get ANYTHING done. Yesterday I was actually showered and dressed by 9:30, which is really good for me ^_^

I know that makes me seem like the most lazy person, but heck, when your husband doesn't get home until late and you have to get up early to take the dogs out, there isn't much time for sleeping in. A gal's got to do it while she can!

At any rate, since I was up earlier yesterday I actually got some house and computer stuff done! I got three volumes of manga scanned (now I have to cut and edit the pics) and I also got the house vacuumed, dinner made, and even had time for a quick manicure! Lucky me!

Now it's time to work *sigh* I hope the day goes by fast and it's not stupidly slow ^_^ That ALWAYS sucks!

Tuesday, April 3, 2001  01:10 p.m.

Man I hate electronics/computers sometimes...all I wanted to do was sit down on my little day off and SCAN and what happens? My scanner won't work! Know what it was? A little bitty screw thingy that holds the LPT port in place was loose, therefore the connection wasn't right...well how in the heck could I have known that was the problem? Well thank goodness Mike (the husband) has those little screws at work so I fixed the port and now the scanner is working...too bad I didn't know the problem TWO HOURS AGO! *phew* Well now that I complained a bit about that, I'm off to 'happy scanner land!' ^_^

Monday, April 2, 2001  04:17 p.m.

Blech, I hate work sometimes...especially on Mondays...especially when it's sunny and pretty...especially when I'm going to be off tomorrow on Tuesday and I just KNOW it's going to be raining! Geez, can't a gal get a break?

All I'd love to do tomorrow is play in my yard in the flower beds. I'm so lucky to have a new house with a nice front and back yard, and nice flowers ^_^ I've never really had a yard to mess in before, and I'm so happy that I have a chance! Of course now I'm saying that, just watch later on I'll be too lazy to mess in the yard, later when it's a chore...but for now I'll just keep up the fantasy that I have a 'green thumb' and I'll keep all the pretty flowers growing.

I guess if it rains tomorrow at least I'll have an excuse to clean in the messy living room which has been a 'dumping ground' for all the boxes and whatnot we haven't found a place for yet. You think after almost three months I'd have the place somewhat organized...of course not! I guess I have the rest of my life to have the house unorganized ^_^

enough of my stupid rambling, back to boring work and gazing out the window at the sun while it's here. ciao!

Monday, April 2, 2001  12:38 a.m.

Hello there! Never thought I'd get me one of these 'online-journal thingies' mainly because I can't stand doing something that seems 'trendy' but I got to thinking it would be fun to just have a spot to either rant, brag, or simply pour out my stupidest thoughts, so here we are.

This layout features none other than Garnet from Final Fantasy IX. If you haven't played the latest Final Fantasy I suggest you do. It's really great! I'm not sure if I like it better than FFVIII, simply because the two games are so different in plot and other things as well. (I guess I like them both!) Garnet is probably my favorite character in the game, so I figured I'd use this pretty picture for a layout. If you run your mouse over the images above you'll see lyrics in the alt tags. I put in the lyrics to 'Melodies of Life' which is Garnet and Zidane's song. It's so pretty ^_^

At any rate, here's my new journal/blog/whatever ya wanna call it and keep coming back if you want to hear more senseless babble. I doubt I'll be writing in this daily, but we shall see what happens. Time for me to hit the sack and start a new work week *blech*
